Ashley
Ashley graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering and received a Master of Construction Management from Vanderbilt University from the Civil Engineering School. Upon completion of his Master’s, he was employed as a project engineer for W.L. Hailey & Company, Inc. in Nashville. Over the next 10 years, he worked his way through the ranks of project manager, operations manager, and ultimately district manager of the company. W.L. Hailey was purchased by a large publicly traded company (Layne Christensen) in 2009, and he subsequently served as a division manager of 130 employees and had responsibility for projects with values up to $30M. In 2014, Ashley left Layne Christensen to form Cygnus Construction, specializing in residential building, which has since earned $50 million in revenue. Ashley is a Professional Engineer licensed in Tennessee.
Nick
Nick is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and received his law degree from Washington and Lee University. Nick began his career at the New York office of Sidley Austin, a large multinational law firm, where he specialized in investment company and adviser representation. In 2004, he moved to Nashville where his legal practice focused on lender and mortgage servicer representation as well as compliance and consulting. Before leaving the practice of law to focus on real estate development full-time, he was most recently a partner of Brock & Scott, PLLC, representing lenders and credit grantors on a variety of real estate and default related matters throughout the Southeast. Nick currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Freight Technologies, Inc.
